From HAC’s beginnings in 1961, the club magazine ‘Cogswapper’ has been the main method of keeping members informed regarding club activities, past and coming events.

Editing any club magazine is an onerous task, but over the years HAC has had a number dedicated editors, some of whom have gone on to professional roles in the publishing or related businesses. Roger Bonhomme (Cogswapper editor 1969 – 1973) was editor of several motor industry magazines such as the VACC Journal. Allan Edwards (1989 – 1999) later became editor of motorsport magazine Auto Action and now has his own publishing company. Allan was followed by Dianna-Lee Saville (2000 – 2010) who is now a successful self-publisher and illustrator. John Rosengrave has had several stints as Cogswapper editor and became a technical editor for the automotive industry before his retirement.
Sadly ‘Cogswapper’ is no longer a regular publication but occasionally resurfaces as a Special Edition. It has largely been replaced as a means of communication with members by emails and the Club website, thanks to the speed and cost-effectiveness of electronic publishing.
